Bronchial Artery Embolisation
- 25 yr old gentleman
- Cough with massive expectoration of blood
- P/H/O pulmonary TB
- Chest radiograph shows bilateral disease
Aortic angiogram shows hypertrophied (abnormal) bronchial arteries
Selective right bronchial artery angiogram shows abnormal blush and shunting into right pulmonary artery; Post embolisation there is resolution of abnormalities
Selective left bronchial artery angiogram shows abnormal blush and tortuous vessels with shunting into left pulmonary artery; Post embolisation there is resolution of abnormalities
Bronchial artery embolisation is a pin hole surgery done through femoral (lower limb) artery access by Dr. Ankit J. Dumaswala
